Our Community Commitment
Tidelands Health, in collaboration with MUSC Health, is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that was founded on the belief that health care should be made available to members of our community regardless of age, race or socioeconomic status. We are committed to offering programs and services that benefit the community by providing access to health care resources for the poor and medically underserved residents of Horry, Georgetown and Williamsburg counties.
These programs impact the health status of our community, reduce community health costs, are accessible by the entire community regardless of one’s ability to pay and often involve partnerships with other community organizations, such as those through Tidelands Community Care Network.
We also offer a wide array of health education programs and screenings to improve the health status of our community. And we are proud to provide financial and in-kind support to dozens of area organizations working to improve quality of life in our region, including:
- American Cancer Society
- American Heart Association
- American Legion
- Black River United Way
- Georgetown County YMCA
- Healthy Learners
- Helping Hands of Georgetown
- March of Dimes
- Miss Ruby’s Kids
- Murrells Inlet 2020
- Smith Medical Clinic
- Tidelands Community Hospice
