We are committed to providing family medicine residency education in a collegial environment that helps develop productive, efficient and effective physicians who understand how to:

  • effectively communicate with patients
  • provide medical care using evidence-based models of care
  • follow best practices of interprofessional care
  • participate effectively in medical staff leadership
  • improve medical literacy for better patient decision-making

How to Apply

Applications are coordinated through the Electronic Residency Application Service, or ERAS. Students may begin the ERAS application in July, and our residency will begin receiving completed applications on Sept. 1 each year. More information and applications may be found on the ERAS website.

Medical School Rotations

If you’re a current non-MUSC 4th year medical student, you can apply through VSAS to request an audition rotation.
