Tidelands Health names new leader of digestive health services

Scott HunterA leader in health care management has joined Tidelands Health as director of digestive health services.

In this role, Scott Hunter oversees the health system’s three gastroenterology practice locations and two endoscopy units. He also is responsible for helping ensure the health system’s gastroenterology care is aligned with the needs of the region’s rapidly growing population.

A Pennsylvania native, Hunter has nearly a decade of health care management experience.

Hunter earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Drexel University, where he served as captain of the men’s wrestling team.

Hunter lives in Murrells Inlet and is a volunteer assistant high school wrestling coach at St. James High School.
