Only two weeks left to register for Tidelands Health In the Pink breast cancer awareness walk
The Tidelands Health In the Pink breast cancer awareness walk is on its way to a record year with only two weeks left for participants to register.
More than 1,100 people have already registered to participate in the Oct. 19 event at an all-new location – beautiful Brookgreen Gardens. Required registration closes Oct. 11. There will be no on-site registration the day of the event. Register now at tidelandshealth.org.
“Once again, our community has embraced our In the Pink breast cancer awareness walk by registering early, forming fundraising teams and getting their best pink accessories ready for this signature event,” said Dr. Angela Mislowsky, a board-certified breast surgeon at Tidelands Health Breast Center. “We look forward to joining with you at In the Pink on Oct. 19 to celebrate breast cancer survivors, honor those lost to the disease and raise money to support breast cancer care.
“If you’d like to participate in this year’s In the Pink breast cancer awareness walk, we encourage you to register now at tidelandshealth.org.”
Participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt and complimentary admission to Brookgreen Gardens for the day of the event. Walk participants are encouraged to don their best pink outfits and accessories to show their support.
“With more than 1,000 participants registered already, we are eager – with our sea of pink walkers - to send a clear message that no one affected by breast cancer walks alone,” said Dr. Craig Brackett, a board-certified breast surgeon and medical director of the Tidelands Health breast health program. “We are incredibly grateful to our community members and sponsors for coming together at this inspiring event to help make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.”
To take part in the 2024 In the Pink walk, register at tidelandshealth.org. Gates will open at 8 a.m., and the walk will begin at 9:30 a.m.
