Visiting Hours
For the health and safety of our patients, visitors and team members, please observe the following guidelines:
Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital and Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital
With certain restrictions and precautions, visitor guidelines for Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital and Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital are as follows:
Patient support partners
- Each hospital patient may be accompanied by an adult patient support partner at all times.
- Pediatric inpatients may be accompanied by two adult patient support partners at all times.
Visitors
Hospital visiting hours are 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Visitors 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
- Patients in most areas of the hospital may have one visitor at a time, in addition the adult patient support partner(s), during visiting hours.
- Patients in the ER may be accompanied by one adult patient support partner only. No additional visitors are allowed.
- Labor-and-delivery patients may be accompanied by one adult patient support partner and two additional visitors 16 and older at a time.
Tidelands Health outpatient locations
Patients receiving care at one of our more than 70 outpatient locations may be accompanied by one adult patient support partner and one visitor.
Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Hospital
Patients at Tidelands Health Rehabilitation Hospital, an affiliate of Encompass Health, may be accompanied by two visitors at a time between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.
NOTE: These guidelines are subject to change and may be altered or restricted based on the individual medical needs of the patient.
As a reminder:
- Our hospital cafeterias are open only for patients, designated patient support partners/visitors and staff.
- Patients who need assistance from the business office should reach out to (843) 520-8883, option 2.
- Vendors are only allowed when necessary to support critical hospital functions.
